Hey I am just curious if quicktime vids are able to be viewed while web browsing in safari on the iPod touch. Yes? No?

Also do you think there will be a hack to allow the mail app to be installed on the touch? I know that I can just use my web based email, but having the mail app would be slick.

Some QT movies play, some don't. Even on Apple's trailer site not all of them play. I don't know what the pattern is with it.

h264 encoded Quicktime movies play. Same for mpeg4 vids I believe. Basically if it is in iPod video format then it plays.

go to apple.com/trailers
It will automatically redirect you to the iPhone version of the site. Then just click a movie cover and it will open a page with a video on it. Click the video and it will go full screen and start playing...
