hi,
I have some questions about quicktime player. I got 1 pc and 2 macs. All of them have divx, vlc, and quicktime installed. The problem is that I tested all 3 comps with the same mpg or mp4 files. And i found out that the pc and 1 of the mac can't play any of them with quicktime. everytime i try opening the files with quicktime a window pops out n said "An invalid public movie atom was found in the movie." But if i use vlc player then theres no problem. the odd thing is that with my other mac it can play the same file with quicktime. so i donno whats the deal here  Anyone knows why?

You probably don't have the required codecs installed. Download and install both Flip4Mac and Perian. If they don't play after this, then use VLC to identify the formats of the media's audio and video tracks.

it def works with VLC but still said "An invalid public movie atom was found in the movie." when i try to open with quicktime:( the video format is mp4
