Quicktime movie not working.

I have movies that I would like to watch but quicktime will not play them all Iam getting black screen I dl Xvid still not working.All my movies seem to play well on windows but nothing on mac. Thanks.

So why did you think that xVid, which only plays those files, would do it?

Download WMV Player (the QuickTime addon) and Perian. That covers everything.

Xvid poped up on apple site when I tried to play a movie.

you could also try vlc player for mac. will play just about everything. thats what I use for just about anything that isn't quicktime format.

I also vote for VLC. I haven't run into anything it won't play. It may not be perfect but plays more different file extensions than any player I have used.

And it's light and quick...at least for me.

Is it protected by drm? If so, it will not play on a Mac. Period. You need windows for that.

How will I know if protected by drm? It only dl half of the movie and play half.
