Hello:

I am racking my brain trying to figure out what is wrong with what I am doing. I have an HD Camcorder. I film in 1080i AVCHD. In the past, I would import to iMovie 08 for editing and then export to quicktime. I wanted the highest video quality so my export went like this: Share to Quicktime movie, set to h.264 and set my video size to 1980x1280 HD. This would render a perfect quicktime movie as a .mov file. I am trying it again but now I get a .mov file that only plays audio. I get a black screen in quicktime with only sound. I must have screwed something up in my settings but I can't figure out what I did. Can anyone please help? This method worked perfectly last week but now it won't.

As a secondary question, what is the best way to get HD video from my camcorder into my mac for editing and have the higest possible resolution as the output? My camera can film in 1080p so if I can film that way and still import that would be best. I usually save the original file and make a copy using handbrake in 720p for viewing in apple tv.

Thanks in advance!
