This is a new issue that has been creeping within the last month or so in Quicktime Player - Version 10.4. The simplest way to describe this issue is "bizarre."
Currently running on OS Yosemite - 10.10.3, Retina 5K display imac, all brand new equipment (not even 6 months old).
After a Quicktime file is Exported out of Adobe Media Encoder, using basic specs such as - H.264, AAC Audio, bit rate 8mbps, 48khz .mp4 and .mov, we try to QC (quality check) the file in Quicktime Player and the program is unresponsive. Playing back by the preview in finder works, occasionally.
I was curious if anyone has experienced this issue, know any solutions or another place/person I can ask.
Thanks so much!
