Because the QuickTime Player is owned by system, it is pretty darned hard to delete it on purpose and virtually impossible to delete it by accident. Are you certain that you actually deleted the application?i have osx snow leopard 10.6.6

That's definitely not going to work.
Possibly because you didn't actually delete anything.just tried on my macbook, I delete the QuickTimer Player.app under ~/Applications, copy it from my iMac, it works here.
