i have 63 codecs that i want to add to my QT. i just want to make sure i put them in the right folder for them to work.

here is how i have them configured now, is this right or do i need to move them?

MAc HD > users > me > 63 codecs in QT folder > library/QT > then the codes here

i appreciate it!

I know where you got the codecs, don't install them because there are many in there that are only for OS 9 and will screw some stuff up wen you try to use them in OS X, there are really only 3 or 4 you need.

Which 3 or 4 would those be??

well so far QT seems to be working fine with the new codecs installed. if someone knows which ones are obsolete please post it here.

Speaking of which, what's the legality of using codecs.

If they are freeware third-party codecs, I don't see how it could be remotely illegal, if that is what you are wondering. If you are downloading codecs and haxoring the keys or whatever, well then the answer is obvious, I hope.
