I opened a .mkv movie file in QuickTime Pro and wanted to 'save as...' a .mov file, like someone on the forums said was possible, but the Save As ... option is greyed out.

Now what?

When I convert the .mkv with Turbo.264 it's all choppy, and when I convert it with VisualHub, it won't even start (get an error message)

Does it happen with all .mkv files or just one? The file might be corrupt.

You sure you have QT Pro first? Have you tried selecting the video from the bar?

When I first open an MKV I need to wait until it finishes loading before I can do anything, I then I click Save As.

Maybe your doing something wrong.

Yup, that was the problem.
Haha, patience really is a virtue.

Sorry for this thread.
