I have been playing FLV on my QuickTime pro since I Purchased my iMac in 2008-09. All of a sudden it as stopped playing them, why, the only reason I can think of is that I upgraded to Lion, but I could almost swear that I still played FLV files when I first upgraded ... What could it be?

Did you have Perian installed before?

I do show a 32bit Perian installed

Hmm, Perian should provide flv playback in Quicktime. Maybe you need to update Perian? I used to always use Perian but since upgrading to Lion I have not installed it and now rely on VLC for non-apple standard media playback. Perhaps that is also a possible option for you too?
