I could do with this program to convert some Windows video needs true conversion to iMovie compatibility. I have the Player of course ... but do you REALLY have to fork out another £20 for ... a registration code .. thats .. IT!.

I'm not sure what you're actually asking here. The £20 fee will get you a registration code that upgrades your existing copy of QuickTime to Pro. This code will work for QuickTime 7 but will not work for 6 and will most likely not work for 8.
 
anyone know if 8 is due out anytime soon ? would suck to buy now and then have to buy again in a few months.........
