I thought it was one file, but turns out it is all my mp4, avi, etc files.
I double click to play in quicktime, but the audio plays fine, but video shows as a white blank screen. But if I highlight the video and press space bar for preview I can see everything.

I read it is a codec, but why would it just stop working now, I have them all.
Quicktime Pro 7, and type of file even tried converting to other formats and nothing works, do I have to install quicktime again?

please let me know.

I had this issue the opposite way around with Perian, where it would play in Quicktime but not in Quick Look. You might have to install the plug-in/preference panel again, hopefully that'll fix it.

EDIT: Or possibly update your plug-ins if you don't have it set to automatic
