A couple of years ago I paid and up-graded to q/time pro.
I've had to do a re-install of OS X and now would like Q/time pro. Would I have to pay again? Where can I verify my details - Thanks

QuickTime Pro was a stupid idea on Apple's part. Use VLC for the time being, and wait for QuickTime X to come out in September! (...or 'find' a Snow Leopard beta build now...)

Oh sorry I misread your post. if you already bought it awhile ago, just contact Apple for the serial number you received. I thought you were going to buy it; if that's the case, don't!! You can encode with great freeware like HandBrake.

Go to the apple store's website, handy link.

Then click Your Account in the top right hand corner, then "Downloadable Software purchases" and then sign in.

You will be presented with a screen displaying the serial number.
