Earlier today.. I was playing the Starwars trailer that I downloaded a few weeks ago. Until today.. it's always played fine-- now it's very choppy and unwatchable. Quicktime seemed to do ok with streaming video, and lower res files- but not this one.

I didn't worry about it too much because I had tiger siting at home ..ready to install. I figured the tiger upgrade with quicktime 7 would fix the issue.. but it didn't. The starwars trailer still is choppy in QT7, but it plays fine in VLC. I downloaded the HighDef fantastic 4 trailer from the apple site, and it plays very poorly as well. I tried deleting the QT prefs, and repairing disk permissions... but no luck.

I have a 1.33 GHz powerbook with a gig of ram, and no other major apps running. Help please-
