QuickTime scrolling. confused.

When I play a movie in QuickTime and use my trackpad to scroll or adjust the volume I get a bit confused.

I would have thought:

up/down: volume
left/right: scrolling

but it is the other way around.

I find it very confusing.

Do you agree?
