I'm having an issue with Quicktime in that when I'm looking at AVIs in Finder it takes a REALLY long time for the preview window to show, and if I open a file it also takes a long time to open in Quicktime. THe issue is that Popcorn (a DVD burning software we use) is Quicktime dependant, so if Quicktime can't open a file we can't burn it through Popcorn, and when it's really slow to load Popcorn times out.

I have the add-ons Growl, Perian, and Flip4Mac installed as well. Also, I've uninstalled them and reinstalled them with no change, and I've reinstalled the OS with no change. Everything updatable is updated.

Anyone else experience this and have a solution?
