For some reason QuickTime has started to launch on startup (i.e. when the desktop appears, QuickTime is running and is the active application in the Finder). I can't find any check box in the preferences for this (like there is for "Google Notifier" and many other apps one might want to launch on startup.

Any clues? It's just in the past few days but I did install yahoo messenger

I'm running 10.5.5 on a Mac Pro 8 core, QT v7.5.6

for future reference, you can also select apps that you want to launch at startup using this method.

alternatively you can go to apple > system prefs > accounts > login items tab, to add/remove startup items. (some startup items don't actually have apps, so you should use this method if that's the case ie. iTunesHelper, GrowlHelper etc.)

Quicktime still keeps launching at boot

I unchecked the open at login option many times and still it comes back.

I did add and un-add to the account and still nothing.

PLEASE help with this.

Thanks
