Quicktime Streaming to Apple TV

Does anybody know if there is a way to stream Quicktime content to an Apple TV? Or can I play Quicktime video files back in iTunes and transfer them to, or otherwise play them back via the Apple TV?

Import the file into iTunes and play from there. If the file won't import because of the format, use a convertor program to convert to an mp4 file before importing.
