Hi.

It`s only minor but it`s bugging me.
Quicktime no longer counts down the remaining time of a video file.
The left side counter works fine showing the current time of the file but the right side time remaining counter stays fixed at the total playtime.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

What kind of video file are you playing. I know I have this problem with some Windows video files. :/

Thanks for replying.

All of them.
I thought it was just WMV`s at first, maybe Perian or Flip4Mac acting up but it`s any video file.

That's odd. Does it do it in QuickTime 10 and QuickTime 7, assuming that you are using a intel machine with SL.

Hi Hugh

Running SL 10.6.6 on 2010 MBP.
Only got Quicktime 10 installed.
Is it worth just removing Quicktime and reinstalling it?

Thanks

Did just start doing this when you upgraded to 10.6.6? If so, try to reinstall 10.6.6 using the COMBO updater off Apple's website. I don't know how to uninstall QuickTime 10 and then reinstall it, other then reinstall the entire OS. :/

its actually an option. just simply click the time on the right and it toggles between "time remaining" and "total time"
