Hello.
A coworker with Quicktime 7.6 installed on a G5 Mac with 10.4.11 is having a bit of an issue with certain mov files. The mov files use a mpeg 4 codec, and play fine on our XP machines, as well as an Intel Mac also running 7.6 and 10.4.11.
As seen in the screenshot, the video is badly distorted, like a TV signal with bad reception. Audio plays normally. This is obviously a codec issue, but we've removed some 3rd party codecs, and even tried reinstalling the latest quicktime update.
We both spent an hour or so searching through google to find solutions, but haven't come up with much. We even tried using "Safe Boot", but got the same result.
Resaving these videos from Final Cut or After Effects, produces a video that will be corrupt for everyone.
Has anyone here run into a similar situation? Can you point us in a direction that will help resolve this?
Thank you.
