Quicktime/VLC NO AUDIO on .MOV Files

Hi there.
Just tried opening some older .mov files. I think they were originally made in photobooth and exported a few years ago.
For some reason, said files are video only. The last time I played them via quicktime on this same computer (on an older OS of course), the audio worked fine.
Plenty of other .Mov files play fine, just not these.
Any ideas?

Update: They play in MacMediaPlayer for some reason! Quicktime, VLC, and the photobooth originals do not play with audio.
