I tried watching an avi movie on my macbook and it doesn't work.
Tried streaming something that required wmp and that doesnt work, says i need to install quicktime.
Tried double clicking the flip4mac icon and it says same message install quicktime.

What is wrong????

i still dont get why i cant watch an avi movie
i got rid of that install problem, but the movie thing still exists

Dunno what to tell you... I've got Flip4Mac version 2.3.0.7 on Snow Leopard 10.6.1, and when I double-click on an AVI file, it loads and runs it OK.

AVI movies should not require Flip4Mac (a WMV - Windows Media codec) to my knowledge. You may wish to try installing Perian, as it handles many of the codecs commonly used in AVI files - such as DivX and XviD.

I have experienced the same issues but my AVI files im playing through DIVX Player. works perfect.

Thanx for the link Bill Gates. hopefully this should sort out my Flip4Mac. will try it when i get home.
