Quicktime X GUI random freeze

Have iMac 27" i7 with 10.6.4 and installed Perian. Since installing Perian is Quicktime occasionally freezing. When run Activity monitor or Force quit window Quicktime appears as running properly. Already reinstalled Perian and whole system without restoring, but nothing helped.

Is this common issue of Perian?
