Quicktime X Playing My Videos In Slow Motion?

I am running the latest Snow Leopard OS on a 1.83 GHz
Macbook Pro.
When I open a .mov file to play, Quicktime X opens and the video
plays in slow motion with the normal audio speed. It does it to
all my videos (I have a lot).
BUT when if I force the videos to play in Quicktime 7 they play
just fine.

On my iMac the videos play in Quicktime X just fine.

Last night I did a fresh install of Snow Leopard on the MBP hoping it
would fix the problem but it still persists!

Any thoughts?

Mods please close this thread. After re-installing Perian everything worked fine.
