I spent £911 on a new macbook + ipod recently and did this through QUIDCO (and got 6% (£58)) cashback. But two months on, they've just declined the cashback for absolutely no reason.

I'm pretty mad and will be writing a letter of complaint, but wondered if anyone else has had similar problems?

Or is Quidco just a big SCAM?

Its not a scam i use Quidco a lot and get regular payments from them. I've used them when buying from Apple a few times and they've always paid.

Its not a scam at all.

It wont be anything to with Quidco. It will be Apple that have refused to pass the money on.

I concur, quidco's definitely not a scam. I've had plenty of money back from them. You can always query the denial through quidco, they might be able to help you with what went wrong.

Just got paid from Quidco this week as it happens.

If you checked the number of affiliates with Quidco recently then you cannot have failed to notice that a lot of these have either vanished or reduced their scope of cashback. Quidco has done a bit of housekeeping and removed those sites that either would not guarantee to validate or were problematical in some way.

For example, Dixons would only ever track and validate after you put in an inquiry, but the two times I bought from it (iPod Touch and a GPS) it did pay up eventually. Now you can only get cashback on Dixons Entertainment (i.e. DVDs etc).

Ok so Quidco is not a scam but you can understand why I'm feeling a bit ripped off by them and indeed the UK Apple Store.

I decided to hang around nearly three weeks for delivery when I could have had one that same day from my local Apple Store, purely because I would get nearly £60 cashback through Quidco.

I haven't changed anything re my order and have kept my end of the bargain, it's just really disappointing that they haven't kept theirs. I've submitted a query requesting an explanation but I'm not holding out much hope.

Quidco works fine - they've always paid me on time etc. It could be down to the retailer itself i.e. Apple that are not living up to their terms with Quidco.

Was your order through the HE or Education on-line store by any chance.

You don't get the extra Quidco discount if the prices have already been discounted ......

Yes it was. This must be what it is then. Quidco should really highlight this fact on their website.

Really? Oh that's so disappointing. I want my £63 :p. I'm not too fussed to be fair, considering I won an iPod touch for ordering through Quidco.

Quidco don't mention it on the link to the AppleStore but if you go through the "raise a ticket for declined earnings" link - it does say that you don't get the extra Quidco discount if it is through the HE or Education site.

The earnings track ok but they get declined after a couple of months.

Guess what I was doing last night ???
