I just upgraded from a 4 to a 4S. All things are great, except I can hardly feel or hear my phone when its on vibrate.

Its the quietest little buzz and hardly creates vibration. Anyone experience this?

Personally, I find that it's quieter while being stronger at the same time.

It's because they changed from a counter-weighted motor to a linear oscillator.

Define quiet. My Verizon Motorolas are useless on vibrate. I am hoping the iPhone 4S (Verizon) is better.

Mine was sitting on my desk upstairs in my room and when I was downstairs in the kitchen I could hear it.

That's odd. Mine's extremely loud and powerful.

Mine too! There's actually a couple of threads on here regarding this issue. It's more like people (myself included) are complaining about the awful sound it makes when it vibrates. It's almost as if it's rattling something inside, but it doesn't make the sound if you hold the phone firmly, while vibrating.

Strange. Its annoying. I hardly feel it when its in my pocket. I listened to a few of the loud 4S sounds and they sound nothing like mine.

Oh well, glad it was something intentional and not a flaw!

I like this one better, doesn't scare me when it vibrates on a hard surface. I guess how strong the vibrate should be is a very subjective matter.

I haven't used the 4S but when me and my friend were comparing my 4 to his 4S, his vibrated much quieter (almost silent) but when it was in my hand, it felt just as strong, maybe slightly stronger.

This, to me, would be welcome.

Although I didn't test it in my pocket.
