Hi to all, having read about peoples R iMac problems in various threads I thought it might be a good idea to get poll on good and bad experience's with R iMac machine's.

Please list your config like below. my config

Delivery date 28th November 2014

RiMac
4.0ghz i7
R295
SSD
32G ram

After your config you can list the issue's your having. the idea is to see if there is something common in a certain config that gives issue's.

Myself its been a faultless experience so far, smooth running, quiet and no issues.

The poll is easy to follow 4 parts and the most common configs.if your config isn't here vote to closest config to yours.

1) Standard config i5 cpu R290 GFX standard, fusion, SSD drive GOOD
2) Standard config i5 cpu R290 GFX standard, fusion, SSD drive BAD
3) Upgraded config i7 cpu R295 GFX standard, fusion, SSD drive GOOD
4) Upgraded config i7 cpu R295 GFX standard, fusion, SSD drive BAD

lets try and keep the thread as clean as possible to let others view to see if they can see any common faults, or determine they are random on some R iMac's only

RiMac ordered Nov. 4 delivered Nov. 27

4.0ghz i7
R295
1Tb SSD
32Gb ram (got 8Gb from Apple, upgraded myself)

i7 295x 3tb fusion 16gb ram
works perfectly
no lagging / stuttering
no mission control problems

im very happy with my purchase :]

i7 295x 3tb fusion 8gb ram
Using for photo editing and some gaming in addition to general purpose
no lagging / stuttering
no mission control problems

I am also very happy with my purchase. May upgrade ram (looking at benefit of faster ram)

Basic spec but with 16 gig RAM , general computing plus some photography work using Lightroom 5, Corel Aftershot Pro 2 and Paintshop Pro X6 via Parallels.

All good.

When you spend that kind of money on a computer it'd better be a good experience. Mine is certainly living up to my high resolution expectations

By the way this is someone who didn't get the iPad Air 2 because they didn't up the resolution :p waiting for the iPad Pro.

RiMac
4.0ghz i7
R295
1 TB SSD
32G ram

Zero problems with this machine.
No backlight bleed that I can see.
Only ever hear the fans when doing Handbrake encoding, otherwise dead silent.
Seems really solid. Operation is very smooth.

Very pleased, would highly recommend.

i7 4.0 ghz
32 GO
R9 m295x
FD 3TB

Very very impressed. Never had a Mac that smooth on Mac OS X.
And playing games in Windows 8.1 as never been that fast.

Bad points > fan can be noisy for some, hot machine after gaming, like every iMac I've ever used (the last one was a maxed out 2012). Nothing surprising and nothing that really bothers me.

PS : It is true that the RiMac - even at ease - make a very soft fan sound that I didn't hear with the 2012 one. But at full speed, it's the same swoosh, no doubt.

Delivery date 31th November 2014

RiMac(base)
i5
290GPU
1TB Fusion
24G ram(aftermarket)

Excellent experience so far and didn't even hear the fans coming on playing Doom 3 in 5k on Ultra Settings(I know its 10 years old but still fun in 5K).

Only issues have been some screen lag previewing large images.

So far it seems a lot more are happy with there rImac purchases than are not.

keep them coming guys and gals!

Smooth in everything.

4GHz i7, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD (the only thing I didn't max out) and 4GB M295X.

Hope you didn't order that ram from Apple. #

Unless you get out a magnifying glass, you wouldn't be able to discern a higher resolution, so why wait?

Unhappy that my delivery date is still two weeks off. :(

i7, 295, 16GB (aftermarket). Replaces my 2009 that I also had to wait an eternity for.

i7 4.0, 32GB, 295. Perfect. Yosemite and other software issues: tiling in Lightroom and plugins, occasional scrambled windows or menu bars on second monitor.
