Hi all I'm jsut writing to say that I recently bought a new Radeon 8500 card, a little under 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if I should return it and gete the new 9000? Anyone able to help a non-all knowing graphics person out figuring this out? THanks a whole lot, I appreciate the responses, and quicker is better cause if I'm returning the 8500 I have to do it soon.

If you want to have faster performance, the 8500 is still better than the 9000. The 9000 is cheaper, but from the benchmarks at www.hardocp.com , (pc site) it seems that the 9000 is actually slower than the 8500, although it will be sold at a lower price as well. Ati is aiming the 9000 at the budget market while the 8500 was aimed at the performance market. The speeds of the cards still indicate that
