Radeon 9600 XT Question

Hi Everyone,

I have a G5 dual 2.0 with a Radeon 9600 XT (with 128MB DDR) and am currently running two 17" Apple LCD displays. I am considering selling one of the displays and replacing it with a (clear case) 23" display (I do graphic design so I can never have enough screen real estate).

My question is: is my graphics card capable of running both a 23" display and a 17" display together? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Are you sure? How can I find out to be safe before buying anything?

Also, can someone explain to me why it takes a special high-end graphics card to run the 30" monitor but not two 20" monitors (which together amount to far more pixels than the 30")?
