It says the Radeon 9700 is available soon. Anyone have any idea how much longer that'll take an order to ship? Plus, how is it better than the GeForce4 Ti? Thanks!

I want to know how it stacks up against the GF4MX. Also, are there any issues I would have witha dual gig QS and Cinema Display? I remember hearing about DVD player not working or that it didn't have the connector for my Cineama display. That may have been for older cards, but i want to know if I would have any disadvantages over the GF4MX? I mostly do 2D work and I don't play any games but do watch & burn DVDs.

On PCs the Radeon 9700 is a good 30% or so faster than the GF4 Ti... I am not sure if it will be AS much faster on mac though because the 9700 on PC uses 8x AGP and macs only use 4x AGP

that shouldn't really have an effect on it since PC games aren't taking advantage 8X AGP graphics yet. So it should be pretty much the same performance but the an ADC connection attached.

I would forget both cards if you are getting a new system and then buy the nvidia FX when its released for mac though no formal anouncement has been made yet. The 9700 is supposed to be a lil faster then the titanium but the fx that is coming out should be 3-5 times what these cards are.

I recently saw that the 9700 will be available around the first of April 2003.

They are having problem keeping up with demand on the PC side so hopefully that's the only thing that's holding up the card on the Mac side.

A MWSF the rep said the cards on both sides are 8x and 4x compatible. Oh well guess its almost time for a new system. Anyone want a Dual G4 450:D
