So, one of my friends is buying a powerbook and I was wondering if anyone thought the extra video memory is worth the $100 price increase. Anyone have any opinions? Thanks.
IMHO yes. I would get this option now because you cannot get later down the road. Hey if your friend even wanted to he cold opt to get the combo drive instead of the DVD burner. That would save $200 to go to the VRAM and still save you $100. With that I go and get the harddrive upgrade which is well worth $50.
i would have to agree. not only will it be nice now, but with more ram the PB will last longer because it will be able to keep up with more technology and programs as they require more vram in the future.
I agree too. VRam is very useful especially if you are doing heavy gaming. Also, to keep up with the latest graphic technology, it would be ideal to get a higher end video card.
