Radeon mobility 9700 query

Would the 9700 mobility with 128Mb vram in a 1.67mhz G4 powerbook, be better for 3D graphics and recording from a firewire soundcard, than a 1.42mhz emac with 9600 Radeon with 64mb vram. If they were both running with 1.5mb ram.

If it would be better, would it be much better?

I think I remember reading that the 9700 Mobility is 30% faster than its predecessor...

And the 9700 has some stuff built in (supports) that the 9600 doesn't have. Also I would say the PB is faster then the eMac.

The PowerBook would be faster, not sure if it would be MUCH faster.

I don't see a big difference between the 2 machines.

1.42 ghz-1.67 ghz

1.5gb ram-1.5gb ram

radeon 9600 64mbs-Radeon 9700 128 mbs

7200 rpm hard drive-5400 rpm (I assume)

Ones a all-in-one CRT, the others a portable.
