Hello togehter,

with my 16inch MacBook Pro I have the problem that die dGPU 5300m does not boost any more. The GPU stays at around 100Mhz and performance is awful.
That behaviour shows up since I have used the heaven benchmark. Do anyone have an idea of how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

How are you testing?
Energy saver on or off?
Have you created a blank new user account (admin) and tested there?
What exact OS version?

Hey,

I tested with the heaven benchmark in MacOs and in windows. In both only around 7-8 FPS. I changed in windows to performance mode. But even than I only got 10-12 FPS. I opened msi afterburner in windows at the same time. It shows that the gpu only “boosts” to around 190mhz andit should be around 1850.

In Mac OS I used the internal system analyzer. It shows that the Radeon is used to its max. But even here the worst performance like in windows.

ould a windows update even have impact on the Mac OS instillation?

which power settings do you mean in Mac OS? I only know the energy safer where I can disable the automatic switch between gpus.

Most recent MacOs Version und latest Windows. Drivers from bootcampdrivers.com

Sorry for my often bad English but Iam not a native speaker ;)
