Anyone had any luck trading in their 3G or 3GS with Radio Shack. Were there issues, or are they giving a full $100 for 3G, and a full $200 for 3GS'? Main thing is here, are they being picky at all, and should I do some repair to mine before I trade it in with them?

So out of the thousands of people here, no one traded in their iphone at Radio Shack?

They told me a month. Called local AT&T and reserved on and called me back in 15 min and said they had one for me ready to pick up. I'll sell my old 3G to someone.

I traded my iPhone 3GS at radio shack on launch day and got the $200. I know I probably could of got more if I sold it my self but I basically got a free iPhone 4, and no hassle. All in all a great radio shack experience. Their twitter page and the guy at the store said that as long as you don't have a cracked screen or water damage your guaranteed $200. Mine was heavily scratched and coming apart at the bottom by the mic.

I traded in my 3gs last friday and with it i received a $20.00 accessory credit. So i got my wife a iphone 4 and a case and only paid $15.00 total

I called today. They don't have any phones. Got put on a list. But they told me $100 for a 3G and $200 for a 3GS. Kind of odd that it is $100 for an 8GB or a 16GB. Going to give them my 8GB and keep the 16GB as a spare.

Please don't give your phone away to Radio Shack.

Jailbreak and Unlock your phone and sell it on Craigslist for $200-$400 depending on what model you have. If your unsure about meeting strangers on craigslist have them meet you at Starbucks! :)

Amen to that. Was going to do the trade in thing with RS, but sold all 3 of my iPhones on CL in 2 days. Just price it a bit below your competitions and your phone will sell like hotcakes.

I have been burned on ebay and don't like "Meeting" people from craigslist. Looking on ebay now, looks like 8GB 3Gs are going for a little over $100. So I am willing to lose 20-30 bucks for a lot less hassle.

Yeah same here. I'll take the $25-$50 hit if it means that i won't have to worry about stuff like Paypal Disputes that you always lose and hoping that the deal doesn't go wrong on Craigslist.

just sold my iPhone 3G 16GB for $220 on craigslist....

how much is radioshack giving for trade ins?

I traded my 16GB 3G for $100.00. My friends 16GB 3G screen does not respond to touch. They gave him $100.00. We both got iPhone 4s on the 24th. My daughter got one as well but they weren't offering anything for her cracked screen 2G iPhone that still works. I agree that I could have sold it myself for much more but I didn't want the hassle. I don't know if my friend could have gotten $100.00 anywhere else for his broken phone.

I traded in my 3g 16gb to them. It's been REALLY slow lately and even a restore didn't do anything to fix it so I wouldn't have really felt right selling it to someone else. Trading it in at Radio Shack, I was the first one on their reservation list and of the 1 16gb and 1 32gb that they got in on launch day, I was the only person out of around 11 people that asked for a 32gb so I got mine at launch. I walked in at 9:00, activated the phone and once it was activated, did a software wipe from the 3g and was on my merry way. The only issue I had with them was that they messed up my lines on an upgrade swap but I was able to walk into the ATT Corporate store, get a new SIM that they messed up, and walk out.

I also got the $20 accessory credit and used it for an Incipio case since it was $19.99. Although I thought it was going to just be temporary until I got a bumper, I REALLY like the case and even more that I got it for free.

Could I have gotten a little more if I had wanted the hassle of Craigslist or Ebay? Maybe. Was it worth losing a little bit to not have to worry about pricing, watching other auctions, worrying about paypal or meeting someone? DEFINITELY.

I had decided to go the Radio Shack route as well, not wanting to deal with the hassle of eBay or Craigslist, but now it's looking more and more like RS won't be getting any phones in any time soon.
So now I'm thinking about getting a 32GB elsewhere and selling my 3GS.

I lost the AC power adapter, the back and bezel show minor scuffs and scratches but the screen should be perfect. I've had a Power Support Crystal film on it pretty much since day one.
I wonder how much I could get for it (32GB black 3GS)?
