radom front row shut down??

ok I was using front row o my macbook to watch a dvd when it randomly shut off of front row and brought u my desktop and now when I hit menu on my remote nothing happens

and i just noticed my volume keys dont work

correction none of my top row keys like f1-f12 or my eject

and it wont shut down

correction f10-12 work only and i notice its pretty warm around the f keys

and why does changing the date take so long i changed it because it was a day off it took 10+ minutes and i have 2gb ram
