I'm looking for a sturdy messenger bag type thing that will protect my new 15" powerbook and that also has room for a few college books and notebooks, along with my laptop accessories, while still looking nice and feeling comfortable. The two leading contenders that I've found are:

The Radtech Curve
Brenthaven Fusion Flex Messenger Case

Both are about the same price... (the Brenthaven is $79.95 after the Apple student discount). My question is, does anybody have experiences with either of these and want to offer their opinion? Both seem like nice, sturdy bags... I guess my biggest issues that I haven't been able to find much on are comfort and space to carry around other books. Also feel free to throw out any similar options in the same price range. Thanks in advance!

i may have no business posting seeing that i don't have a laptop that i carry around, however, i do have a messenger bag from timbuk2 that i've had for about three years thats just been incredible. they have a lot of bags, but the one i found that you might like is very close to what i have. a little bit more money, but i would say its worth it.

I saw this one too... it probably would have been my next choice. The 3 and 4 star reviews on the apple site compared to the 7 straight 5-star reviews of the brenthaven were the only thing that turned me away. People were saying it didn't come with the proper shoulder strap or something. Definitely looked like a quality bag though. I ended up going with the Radtech because it seemd to fit my style and price range more... I'll report back when it arrives.
