Hey everyone,

By installing Lion on my boot drive, which is a 2TB RAID 0, Lion kindly gave a popup notifying me that the fancy new on-disk recovery system cannot be installed. Am I missing something by not having it, if I take backups of the "drive?"

Thanks

The on disk recovery system isn't very useful. I suggest you make a USB or DVD Lion recovery disk. With that in mind, don't worry about it.

Sounds good to me, I'll start that up now.

No go: it says that I need a functioning/existent recovery drive to do it... I suppose 10.7 never installed it at all.
