RAID 1 Mirror Question!?

I have 2 Lacie 3TB drives with 1.5TB of files on both. I would like to mirror them using Disk Utility. Question is will both hard drives go blank if I do this??? Thanks

As creating a RAID set involves formatting the disks, I'd say yes.

The god news.....3TB drives are dirt cheap these days. You can usually find a good deal at Costco or Sams on WD or Seagate portable drives.
