Is it possible with MP & OsX / BSD?

I have 5 disks in my MP:
1. raid1 pair of disks for system
2. raid0 for video cache
3. single disk for general scratch

I'd like to have some redundancy with video cache without sacrificing all speed.
So, would it be possible to have 3-disk raid1E for video cache?

(Yes, I will buy external raid enclosure for raid10 in the future, but not just now. And it is interesting to know system's soft/hardware limits...)

Anybody heard anything about new raid levels in SnowLeopard?

With 5 disks you could buy a raidcard and have RAID 5 which is more secure! And still have a single disk for the OS. Well, that's what I've done.

If I want to have system disk with raid1, I have only 3 disks for video disk.
Raid5 with 3 disks is as secure as raid1e, but raid5 is a lot slower. Also raid5 cards are more expensive.

I've seen no options to do Raid 1E on the Mac Pro in software. 1E is nice, I did have it running on 3 SAS drives on a different system of mine with a hardware raid controller. 1E rebuilds seemed to take a lot longer than raid 5, but of course 1E is faster than raid 5 during normal use.
