Hello,
I have a 2008 MacPro with an apple raid card installed and managing four disks in RAID 5. The battery on the card is dead, needs replacement.
However the array is working properly without the write cache disabled.
About two days ago, the OS started writing constantly to the disks and does not stop. Before a disk fries, I made a clean shutdown.
Can anyone tell what the array is doing, and how can I stop the disks from constant writing ?
Regards,
Daniel Santos
