Until my G-raid died I had been very happy with it but since it whet tits up I need to get another drive and I am a little reluctant to go the G-TECH route again. Can anyone recommend a suitable alternative.

Thanks

The Hdds are fine. Just tried to turn it on one day and it was dead. I got a different power supply and nothing. I needed to get the media from the drives so I could not send it back for replacement.

I really liked the drive as it was fast and not too large physically but I have to have a drive i can count on! I may get another but thought i would see if there was anything else worth having a look at.

you'll need something other than a 2-drive RAID0 to have something you can actually "count on"...

I would look at a 4-5 drive RAID5. Check OWC. I think they have an enclosure like that.

I should have been a little more clear i need somthing that is semi portable and i just wanted to see if anyone has used an alternative system.
