RAID enclosure for macbook pro

I have a macbook pro (not the new one), and want to buy a USB or Thunderbolt raid enclosure. I have 4 x 3TB 3.5" SATA drives that I would like to use.

Does anyone have a hardware or hardware/software combination they can recommend for this?

Highpoint Rocketstor does TB and you can set them as RAID or not.

I've found the 4-bay raid version, but it's £700 here in the UK - a bit pricy!
