RAID/JBOD external drives?

I happen to have 4 firewire 800 drives daisy chained, I use them for storage, and I want to RAID or JBOD them in Disk Utility.

My goal is not to have speed gains, but to simplify the number of mounted volumes I have into only 1.

Can this be done?

So you want 4 physical drives showing up as 1 logical drive? Yes, it can be done.

Pick RAID 0 in Disk Utility. Done.
