Looking to get Rain Design mStand. Anyone here use this stand? I have 2 questions:

Can I close my 16” M3 MBP to use in clamshell mode?

Also does the stand support the weight of the MBP? Going to buy off Amazon but it is not returnable so wanted to be sure it will work with MBP.

I currently have the Twelve South Curve Flex and while it’s nice, it doesn’t support the weight of the MacBook. It keeps lowering on its own unless I tighten the screws.. then it slowly lowers itself over a few days. I’m lucky I caught my MBP this week as the Flex just gave out and went to its lowest position after I adjusted the height.

Thanks!

The rain stand is one solid piece of aluminium, it can handle some weight. The 16 fits nicely, open or closed.
I have bought one years ago with my first MacBook Pro, a few MacBooks later it still does its job.

Yes to both questions. I've had one for three or four years and have used it with a handful of different laptops. It is rock solid and durable, and will be a great piece of kit for your MBP.

The best laptop stand I've ever seen or used, bar none! Yes to both your questions. It would support twice the weight of the 16" MBP if you really wanted it to... the stand is quite solid!

Thanks all! I received it yesterday and it’s great! Very sturdy. Much better than the Flex.
