Raise to Listen Still Broken on 6 Plus

This feature worked flawlessly on my 5s when sending a voice message, but has a 95% (rough estimate) failure rate on my 6 Plus. I've probably gotten it to work like 2 times since I've had the phone.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I finally know someone else who is on iOS 8 (everyone else I know is staying on 7 for now). I just tried to send an audio message by putting the phone to my face multiple times, and it doesn't work.

Does it still actually work on the 5s, even on 8.1? Is it really a 6+ issue?

I have this same problem on my 6+. Tried sending and receiving with someone who has a 5 and raise to listen was working fine for him.
