My mum has an SE2 and doesn't like raise to wake as just activates constantly due to the way she sits, however if it could activate only when a notification has just been received that would be ideal for her. Is it possible to set things up this way? Thank you!

If you disable Wake on Wrist Raise then wouldn’t that do what you want? She would then be alerted by haptic and sound to any notifications on the watch.

The way I understand the issue is, when a notification comes in and she's alerted by sound or haptic, she wants to raise her wrist to read the notification. But at other times, she doesn't want the watch to come on when she raises her wrist.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to get the watch to do what she wants.

If you disable it, when the notification comes in you would need to press the display to activate it and see the notification (trying myself at the moment)

Yep and that’s probably as close as the OP will get unfortunately

Have you found any good solution ? This function is not as much customizable in the os. I need the same thing. Must auto-activate on wrist raise based on selected conditions.
