I just bought a pretty basic USB Wireless Adapter (a Ralink 2070) to use with an old Mac I'm trying to get up and running. I have never used a USB style wireless adapter before, so I'm not sure I've set it up correctly.
I installed the drivers for it and it now appears as an "Ethernet Adapter" in the Network pane. This allows me to turn on DHCP and it immediately latches on to the closest non-password protected network (which happens to belong to a neighbor).
Is there a way to control what network it sees? Of particular interest is whether or not I can get it to connect to a password protected network, since right now it seems I have no control of anything - it just hooked into the first signal it sees.
Thanks for the help...
