ram capatible?

just bought my first macbook on ebay, got a killer deal on it, only downside is 1gb of ram and 10.4

ganna upgrade both but i go to thinking, i have the same exact ram in my pc, looked it up and...

everything is identical except the part number, i have 2gb of ram in my pc and if i could id love to jsut swap the sticks over so that the mac has 2gb and the pc only has the 1gb,

will this swap be possible and will it harm anything?

Should work just fine!

If for whatever reason it doesn't work, nothing should be harmed, just the MacBook either not booting till you remove the offending DIMM or it won't recognize it.
