RAM compatibility question

hey
i'm planning to upgrade my ram on new penryn mbp i just got.
up to 4gig from 2.. and with the 2gig ram, can i put that in my gf's imac?
she's got the old white version.
not sure if those two rams are compatible with each other..

You'd have to look up what kind of RAM is in your MBP and then in your iMac and check it out. My gut feeling is they are not compatible.

If the iMac is an Intel Core machine, then yes, all Intel Core Macintoshes take the same type of modules.
