Hello Forum, I recently purchased: 2x

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006EWUP4Y/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

To upgrade my MacbookPro to 8GB of RAM. When I install the RAM and turn my Mac on all that I get is a black screen and the sleep light at the bottom left of the mac.
I read reviews and did some research into choosing the ram before making my purchase and I'm not sure why it isn't working... :/
I think that I have a late 2011 Macbook but I am not 100% sure as it was a few years ago that I bought it. So it could be either a late 2011 or early 2011 model

I've link in the specs of my Mac if that helps anyone to decipher which model it is. If anyone could give me some advice on why the RAM chips aren't working I would really appreciate it, I only received the RAM two days ago so any advice of what I'm doing wrong or what to replace the RAM with would be terrific.

You have a mid-2010 13" MBP, for which the RAM you purchased is clocked too fast. Better return the RAM and get 1066 or 1333 MHz 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM modules, 8 GB kits are also better than getting two 4 GB modules.

Damn, I actually realised just shortly after posting this that it was a 2010 model so had my fingers cross that it wouldn't affect it :L

Thanks for your help, I'll return the ram and swap it for a 8gb 1333 kit
