When I bought my new 12 core 2.4 gig MACPRO a few months ago, I bought 8 x 8 gigs ram sticks from OWC. One went bad the other day. The one in slot (1) OWC tells me if it went bad that it's partner also should be replaced. OKAY Well I ran Techtool pro and it says IT'S PARTNER is just fine BUT the bad one shows up as not there. But okay! OWC sent me a diagram and it says slot number ones partner should be slot 2. Slot 3 partners with slot 4 and so on. SO I took out the stick that was bad and it's partner which according to the diagram and what I can see on the apple site I should install the old apple 2 x 2 gig sticks. SHOULD be in raiser one slot (1) and slot (2). But when i do this when i restart the "CORE SYSTEM MENORY SLOT MANAGER UTILITY" says they are not installed properly.. and that it recommends installing the 2x2 gigs in slot 3 and slot 7. When i do that and restart its say they are now installed properly! See images PLEAS ADVISE
